THE RIFFS.THE ROAD. THE TEE.
From the soaring choruses of Under Lock and Key to the fire of Back for the Attack and the band's 1995 return, explore six graphic styles inspired by Dokken's unmistakable hard-rock legacy.

Each style has its own artwork, color palette and piece of the band's visual history. Compare the front and back below, then use the product's Style selector to choose your favorite.
Under Lock and Key
1985 ALBUM ERA / BLACK
The melodic-metal breakthrough
In 1985, Dokken released Under Lock and Key, the album that helped bring their melodic hard rock to a wider arena audience. Songs such as “In My Dreams” and “The Hunter” paired soaring vocals with George Lynch’s unmistakable guitar work. This black graphic edition reflects that era: an oversized golden band logo and colorful group imagery on the front, balanced by a steel-inspired Dokken emblem on the back.
Back for the Attack — Portrait Edition
1987 ALBUM ERA / BLACK
Four faces. One defining era.
Released in 1987, Back for the Attack captured Dokken at full force, with sharp guitar riffs, huge choruses and the classic lineup of Don Dokken, George Lynch, Jeff Pilson and Mick Brown. This black tee celebrates the band itself: four portrait panels surround a vivid yellow logo on the front. The reverse uses a dramatic crossed-weapons illustration, echoing the album’s harder-edged visual world.
Back for the Attack — Crest Edition
1987 ALBUM ERA / VINTAGE WHITE
A softer colorway, the same big sound.
The Back for the Attack period was a peak moment for late-1980s American hard rock. Instead of a dark photo-led look, this vintage-white design takes a more illustrated route: colorful shield artwork, radiating stripes and ribbon details on the front. Turn it around for a blue Dokken logo, four musician portraits and the album title. It feels like a page from an old concert-program archive.
World Tour 1988 — Mascot Edition
1988 TOUR ERA / VINTAGE WHITE
Road miles and arena nights.
1988 was a major touring year for Dokken, including their appearance on the North American Monsters of Rock bill. The playful mascot on the front captures the louder-than-life personality of vintage rock merchandise. On the back, the “WORLD TOUR 1988” lettering, city-list graphic, phoenix-like artwork and striking blue logo recall the way concert tees became souvenirs of life on the road.
Back for the Attack — Tour Edition
LATE-1980s TOUR STYLE / BLACK
The concert-tee aesthetic, front to back.
This version leans into the look that made late-1980s tour shirts collectible: powerful front artwork and an information-dense reverse. The front pairs a red Dokken logo with a high-contrast band portrait and vivid green outlines. The back combines the Back for the Attack name, crossed-weapons art and two columns of tour-style lettering. The printed dates form part of the design and should not be treated as a verified historical itinerary.
World Tour 1995
1995 COMEBACK ERA / BLACK
Dokken enters another decade.
The mid-1990s marked a new chapter for Dokken. The band reunited its best-known lineup and returned with Dysfunctional in 1995, bringing its signature sound into a different musical climate. This style shifts away from the intricate 1980s graphics: a bold red, white and blue oval frames the front logo, while a purple circle and prominent “WORLD TOUR 1995” typography define the back. It is a clean nod to that comeback-era aesthetic.
Let the artwork do the talking.
These music-inspired graphics work best when the rest stays easy. Pick the era you connect with, look at both sides of the print, and style it your own way.
A note on the history: The years and tour references describe the musical eras and graphics represented by the designs. They do not establish when an individual garment was made, and printed concert dates are design elements rather than an independently verified itinerary.
